the humane society: emotional rollercoaster
a friend’s dog passed away a few weeks ago, so today i went with him to the humane society to look at potential dogs for adoption. and woah boy did i travel from emotional heights to severely heartwrenching moments.
OHMYGOD there is a literal pile of puppies they are all lying on top of each other they are so sleeeeeeeepy! my heart is filled with joy!
OHMYGOD this dog is here because his owners got evicted and are now homeless and living in their truck and couldn’t keep the dog inside the truck all day! nothing has been sadder!
OHMYGOD this dog is amazing and cute and adorable and look at him do that leap but yes he has a bit too much energy for my friend to handle and is a lot bigger than his small apartment can accommodate and we are going to have to return him to his cage and i feel like a bad person for getting the dog’s hopes up.
OHMYGOD this dog is terrified of everything and if you lift your hand to pet her, she immediately cowers in a submissive position and she’s 7 months old.
