jakke asked: What kind of hat or headgear would you like to see incorporated into business casual wear in the future? Also, if you find that what you're cooking lacks heat, what is your preferred ingredient for making it more spicy? Also, what policy changes do you think would be most effective in lowering unemployment in the US right now?
1. fascinators, hands down.
2. i actually really prefer wasabi/horseradish heat to chili heat, so horseradish mustard is my favorite spicy application.
3. yikes. the easiest way to do it would be to redefine who counted in the unemployment rate to game the numbers without actually meaningfully affecting anything. i figure this is not what you mean? i think i might favor public private partnerships generated and funded by industry to train unemployed workers in new skills that would lead to guaranteed employment. there are some interesting models for this kind of industrial apprenticeship in germany and such, and there’s been some examples of shorter term programs for things like solar installation or commercial food prep certification in combination with ESL instruction. those seem potentially viable for long term employment possibilities, in industries where there’s a demand for trained labor. with the caveat that i don’t really know what would help.
