that felt good!
i just donated to planned parenthood. i did it as an honorary gift in bart stupak’s name. i entered his DC office address (2268 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, DC 20515), so he’ll get a card in the mail notifying him of the gift made in his honor.
eta: you may also considering directly to a local abortion fund in your area. these groups help women fund abortion services, and also help fund ancillary expenses like transportation, lodgings, child care, and follow up medical care. the funds help low-income women who are uninsured or have medicaid in a state that doesn’t provide supplemental abortion coverage. you can read more about funds here, and check this map to find the fund nearest you. thanks to bthny for raising this!
