Dodgers pitcher Vicente Padilla apparently shot himself in the right leg in his home country of Nicaragua today.
In a report by MLB.com’s Ken Gurnick, Padilla’s agent Adam Katz notified the Dodgers of the injury following Padilla’s treatment in a Managua hospital. The wound is being described as minor.
The injury is being described as an accident, although my first inclination was that this was an attempt to literally depict the way the Dodgers seem to shoot themselves in the proverbial foot. (laist)
