how to make bacon

you are looking skeptical, as if there is only one true way to make bacon. surely bacon is delicious no matter how it is prepared! but no. this is incorrect. there is really only one way to make bacon with the ultimate maximum deliciousness of perfection. and it’s not even hard!

  1. get some bacon. any kind of bacon, really - you can get fancy applewood smoked stuff, center cut, whatever, but this will make even the cheapest bacon fantastic.
  2. turn the oven to 350 or 400 or whatever. it’s not too picky.
  3. put some tinfoil on a rimmed baking sheet. the crappiest one you have.
  4. put the bacon on the tinfoiled baking sheet. it can be close together, or spaced apart - it doesn’t really matter.
  5. take 1/3 to 1/2 cup brown sugar and sprinkle it all over the bacon, willy nilly.
  6. throw the pan in the oven for like 20 minutes. it will smell delicious long before then. don’t eat it yet! wait until parts of it get crispy and a little burned and it will be even more delicious!
  7. eat the fuck out of it. put it on a breakfast sandwich, a BLT, eat it plain with your fingers straight off the pan. (try not to burn yourself.)
